My dearest Parish Family:
I write to you today with immense gratitude and deep appreciation for all who have worked so diligently toward our goal of raising $100,000. Your dedication, faith, and generosity are a testament to the love you have for our parish and its future. I am humbled by the selfless commitment of so many who continue to give their time, talents, and resources to ensure that St. Lucy’s remains a thriving and welcoming spiritual home for generations to come.
This goal is more than just a financial milestone—it is a promise for our future. If we reach our $100,000 goal, a generous and caring donor from within our parish has pledged to match that amount. This means that every gift you offer now carries twice the impact. This extraordinary opportunity will help us secure our parish’s future, strengthen our presence in the town, and ensure that we continue serving the needs of our children, our families, and all those who seek Christ’s presence in their lives.
If you have not yet had the chance to contribute, I humbly and respectfully ask you to consider becoming part of this lasting legacy. No gift is too small, and every act of generosity, given from the heart, brings us closer to our shared mission. Your support will echo through the years as we continue to build upon the strong foundation that so many before us have laid.
Last Sunday, I shared the joyful news that, thanks to an incredibly generous and devoted parishioner, our Diocesan Services Appeal (DSA) goal has been fully met. This was a remarkable act of kindness, and words fail to adequately express my gratitude to this donor. Their generosity reflects the very essence of Christian giving—sacrificial, selfless, and filled with faith.
For those who have already contributed to the DSA, I ask that you kindly contact Richard at the parish office so that your gift may be transferred to our Capital Campaign. Every dollar redirected will help us move closer to our goal and make an immediate impact.
As we continue to look ahead, I am still awaiting the architect’s report on the necessary repairs for our beloved church. While I do not yet have exact cost estimates, I trust in God’s providence and in the steadfast support of this faithful community. Please know that as soon as I receive the details, I will share them with you so that we may move forward together with a clear vision and a plan for the restoration and renewal of our sacred space.
In today’s Gospel, Jesus reminds us of the generosity that should guide our lives. His love is the ultimate example of selfless giving, and as His followers, we are called to mirror that love in our actions. Through your prayers, your gifts, and your dedication, you are living out Christ’s call to generosity, and I am deeply moved by the way this parish continues to come together in faith and service.
Fr. Giuseppe and I often reflect on how truly blessed we are to serve here at St. Lucy’s. We are, without a doubt, the happiest and luckiest priests in our diocese, for we are surrounded by a community that is strong in faith, abundant in love, and unwavering in generosity.
Please continue to pray for our parish, for our mission, and for one another. Together, we are building something lasting—something that will stand as a beacon of faith for generations. Thank you from the depths of my heart for your continued support.
May God bless each and every one of you abundantly.
With gratitude and prayers,
Rev. D. Brian Horgan PhD
